| Snorkeling for the Marine
Naturalist
Ever wanted to learn how to skin dive? Do
you suppose oceanographers and marine biologists
use skin diving as a way to accomplish certain
research goals?
Marine naturalists may use snorkeling as
a collection or observation method. Learn
how the pros do it! This program includes
an introduction to bay dwellers, intertidal
marine life and snorkeling methods as they
apply to marine science. Participants will
plunge in with a wetsuit and snorkeling gear
and explore the waters of Alamitos Bay, and
they’ll leave with the skills necessary
to enjoy the sport with friends and family.
